So you think FreeSkool's groovy and want to know how you can help out? Well you can support the project in a variety of ways.
Resources
Do you own or have connections to space (cafés, dance studios, conference rooms, jam spaces, art studios...)? Well we like to have classes in those kinda spaces and we extra like when we can get them for free (it means we can spend more time making the project wonderful and less time fundraising). If you could donate some time in those spaces or let us know that they could be made available, it would help us find places for our classes.
Sometimes our classes need resources beyond just space. If you see any classes on our class list that you might have resources for, such as flour for baking, computers for the Linux class, or seeds and soil for our gardening classes, please contact us if you are able to donate or let us borrow anything.
Time, Energy and Ideas
We are always looking for people to help us out on tasks such as grant-writing, postering, promotions and more. If you have a spare hour to put up posters or some time in a week to look into grants that FreeSkool could be eligible for, give us a holler! We also look for new organizers every now and then (near the end of each term) which is a bit more of a time commitment.
We'd also love to hear your ideas! Do you know of any avenues for promotion that we aren't using? Do you have any cool plans that Freeskool could play a part in? Are we doing something the long and hard way that could be done a lot easier? Let us know!
